In Avoriaz, there’s no shortage of choice for fans of this endurance sport, with 37.5km of tracks over 8 circuits, which criss-cross pine forests and plateaux to reach high crests with sumptuous views of surrounding peaks. The slopes are all marked out with coded signposts. For big cross-country ski lovers, the Portes du Soleil has 250km of slopes to choose from.
