The Medievaleries

A new edition of the Médiévaleries at Aulps Abbey! Come and discover the Middle Ages with the whole family during two days of immersive experiences!

Program for the 2026 Edition:
⚔️ The medieval encampments of the Viatores Oppidi, the Bracalyons, Bosses et Rebond, and the Guilde du Chevalier de Fer, featuring:

An exploration of daily life in the Middle Ages: wood-fired cooking, hygiene and beauty, costumes, calligraphy, and illumination...
A display of weapons and armor
Demonstrations of combat in armor
Demonstrations and introductory sessions on operating a trebuchet
Leatherworking and tabletier craft
Workshops
Coin minting, weaving, and leather bracelet-making with La Mesnie sans Terre
Tin smelting with Guy Moreau
A medieval market
A tour of the gardens to discover the secrets of medieval medicine: at 4:00 p.m. – by reservation
Places to eat:
La Taverne La Croix Blanche: on the terrace or indoors, for a gourmet break featuring local savory and sweet treats!
Continuous service from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The Grimoire Food Truck for medieval dishes to eat on the go!

The program for the 2027 edition is currently being developed!

Adult: 7 €, Child (6-16 years): 3.50 €.

Free entry for children under 6.
