Walking tour: Tour du Char des Quais

Discover the verdant mountain pastures of the Col de l'Encrenaz and enjoy superb views of the Mont-Blanc chain, the Aravis peaks and the majestic Roc d'Enfer.

After a walk along a shady path, you'll gradually reach the Col de la Basse, where Abondance cows graze peacefully. Climbing up through the alpine pasture to the left of the pass, you reach the summit of the Char des Quais, from where the view is even more breathtaking.

1/ Start from the Col de l'Encrenaz car park. Following the signs for Col de la Basse, cross the road and take the path behind the Ancrenaz restaurant, on the right.

2/ A few metres further on, at the l'Encrenaz signpost, turn right towards Les Pâquis.

3/ At Les Pâquis, take the path on the left towards the Col de la Basse.

4/ At the Col de la Basse, take the path down to the Col de l'Encrenaz.
