Hiking: the Mévonne refuge

Follow a shady forest path for a refreshing hike, lulled by the murmur of a stream and the discreet song of birds. The rock faces along the way will remind you of the quiet power of the mountain.

The steady climb from the car park to the refuge invites you to take your time. It begins gently, giving way shortly before the finish to a more sustained section - a final gratifying effort before reaching your destination, nestled in the heart of the countryside.

Departure from the Gorges du Pont du Diable parking lot.

1/ Follow the road that starts opposite the parking lot, behind the "le Jotty" sign. Follow the signs for Mévonne. A few metres further on, the road becomes passable and wooded.
2/ Follow the main track opposite all the way up to the Refuge de Mévonne.
3/ At the end of the climb, the forest clears. A small path on the right invites you to the Refuge de Mévonne. Alternatively, you can continue up to "Mévonne".
4/ Return along the same path to the Gorges du Pont du Diable parking lot.
