The Tour du Mont Ouzon is a wild and varied hike. It's a great opportunity to breathe in the pure mountain air and discover the flora of our mountain pastures. Take in the panoramic views of the Vallée d'Aulps and Lac Léman as you make your way along the trail.
An alternative route takes you up to the summit of Mont Ouzon for a 360° view of the Mont-Blanc chain, the Swiss peaks and Lake Geneva.
/ Start from the Col du Corbier car park
/ Take the tarmac road up to Arblay. At the rubbish bins, at the end of the Arblay road and the start of the Ouzon road, take the forest track.
/ The path twists and turns and descends for quite a while to the Pas de l'Ours site.
/ Below the Pas de l'Ours cliff, a tricky passage leads down a safe staircase to the Tire valley.
/ After the Ruisseau de la Tire, the path climbs back up over an open ridge from which you can see the whole of the Vallée d'Aulps, Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva.
/ Succession of tricky sections (with chains). Finally, when the view clears, take the narrow forest path that climbs to the right.
/ At the Col de Nicodex, you can stop off at the chalets just below, which have drinking water (only during the mountain pasture season!).
/ From the Col de Nicodex, take the path on the right towards the Col de Plan Champ. At the sign for ‘Les Vannées’, continue uphill to the right.
/ Mont Ouzon summit option: at the Col de Plan Champ, take the path that starts just behind the chalet. On the last few metres of the route, just before the summit, take the passage secured by a chain to cross the rocks.
/ At the Col de Plan Champ, take the track down to the Chalets d'Ouzon and then to the Col du Corbier.
