Muriel DEMANGEAT - Contemporary artist
Description
Muriel Demangeat is an artist-author-researcher with a scientific background, originally from the Vallée d'Aulps.
She lives and works in Saint Jean d'Aulps.
After an international career devoted to X-ray physics instrumentation, she now devotes herself entirely to her plastic, photographic, sound and digital creations. Her credo is to enrich our spirit the theoretical concepts of physics, to broaden the field of consciousness through the study of Eastern philosophies and, finally, to provoke, thanks to the convergence made possible by contemporary art, thoughts elaborated from a multitude of points of view, both intellectual and intuitive. Her canvases painted with pigments, her sound and digital creations and even her photographs open up unusual worlds full of mystery. Her most recent solo exhibition was held in Paris, and was the subject of a conference entitled ‘Colour and perception of the world’. Affiliated with the Maison des Artistes, she is a member of professional associations such as MAPRAA, La Condamine and ARL (Artistes de la Région du Léman). Her participation in ‘Art dans la Rue 2024’, in Thonon les Bains, won her a place on the jury and an exhibition of her work for several weeks at the Forum de la Visitation in Thonon les Bains.
